Video/Animation
Most of my newest 3D and animation work is reflected in Discovery Machine Inc's commercial software. Due to NDAs and copyright laws, I cannot place them on this site and claim them as mine.
Below is a small sampling of some of my prior work. Most of what you see here is instructional in nature and somewhat dated. If you would like to see more or you are interested in producing something, feel free to contact me. I still love multimedia production and I'm always looking for a creative outlet in my free time!

Video for Nurse Lizzie LLC, focusing on common myths about pediatric nursing. The purpose of the video is to give advice on some of the things to consider when choosing a career in pediatric nursing.

This is the intro for a web series that I produced at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The instructor needed a way to enhance his online class. After tossing around a few ideas, the series "Environmental Science In The Field" was born. The concept is to embed the videos in the course site, have the students watch and discuss how their own experiences relate, including citations of research on the topic. The quiz content is derived from the video AND the material the students produced in the discussion forums.

This was a locally produced commercial I was hired for a number of years ago featuring Davy Jones from The Monkees. He was scheduled to perform at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport, PA and a local producer had called me in to shoot and edit.
The concept was to poke fun at the idea of stardom. Davy was here to help promote the symphony and had many local connections in the Williamsport area, so he loved the idea. Robin Fountain, Conductor of the WSO, is the gentleman in the limo with Davy as the middle-aged crowd goes crazy.

This is one of the many animations that were done for the "In The Field" series. This particular one was for the "Hydrology" episode as it was titled. It was shot and edited during a three day campus wide shutdown due to the extreme flooding in Pennsylvania in 2011. I called up the instructor, and we headed out in our Jeeps to shoot footage of the devestation and later, I spent some time making the animations we needed to convey the information appropriately for the students.

This clip is from a Ken Burns style documentary I produced about the flood of 1911 in Austin, PA. Yep... Austin, Pennsylvania. The northern part of Pennsylvania was home to the lumber boom in the 1800's and early 1900's. This documentary chronicles the events leading up to and after a dam shattered, destroying an entire town that was a mere dot on a map but when it was destroyed, it left the remains of some of the largest sawmills and tanneries in the world.

This is a previsualization I created using Unity 3D and blender. The intent is to resurrect an old documentary I had done years ago on the Flood of Austin, PA, as an interactive, virtual reality experience.

This was a logo animation I created for the department of Instructional Technology and Distance Learning at Penn College. It was made using Photoshop, Illustrator, Apple Motion, Sountrack Pro, and the final edit was done in Final Cut Pro.
This was a nationally televised series about the degrees offered at Pennsylvania College of Technology and Penn State University. Although I worked on a few of these episodes, this one found me shooting a lot of the footage and creating 3D animations to augment the narration.
